1. Certain Formica® laminate products with special decorative effects are intended for light duty applications only, avoiding horizontal or exterior applications, as well as areas of heavy use and high humidity. These include Veneer laminates and Metallic laminates, Glow items in the Plain Colours Range, and also those items in the Patterns Range with surface finish in Punched, Quilted, Brushed or Powdered.
2. Under certain fluorescent lighting conditions the polished finishes of Metallic laminates can display iridescent effects; and - being real metal - some products may show variations in colour and texture. Formica Limited therefore recommends that you check sheets for compatibility, and view them under actual lighting conditions before fabrication and installation.
3. High gloss and plane (non-textured) surface finishes - which tend to show superficial scuff and scratch marks more readily than do textured finishes (particularly if these are in dark colour patterns) - require particular care when used as work surfaces.
4. Laminate sheets with geometric or linear design features, and those produced through the Digital Service, may need a dressing cut to to ensure correct spacing of the features and proper alignment with the edges of the panel.
